Sweet Day, but Winter's Not Done Yet

I puddle jumped my way through the day today. Slopped over mushy snow banks and avoided skidding through stop signs. All with a smile knowing that these were signs that Spring was on the way.

But really?

Seeing two guys sauntering across Richmond St. in shorts and t-shirts is just too much for me yet.

*My mucklucks are still on my feet, scarf around my neck and hat planted firmly on my head for this Flash 55. It is February and there is snow in the 7-day forecast. I am not putting my winter gear away yet...

  1. Heh. There are always some that jump the gun. I'm as eager for spring as anyone, but I'm still gonna wear my woolies for a while yet. :)

  2. I love the descriptions of a coming spring. As for the goofs in summer gear, maybe they're trying to will an early thaw? Brr, I'm cold thinking of it. Great 55!
    Happy 55 day!

  3. Don't you hate arrogant people who walk across the street in shorts in winter? By the way, it has been in the eighties here the past few days...whoops...sorry!!!

  4. I even saw people in shorts when the weather was freakishly cold a few weeks ago.
They were college students, if that means anything. :)

I stayed bundled up with multiple layers and a heavy coat.

This must mean either I'm getting old or am starting to develop a hint of common sense.

Thanks for doing Friday 55 this week.
    Mine's here. :)

  11. Looooooooooooooooooved the video, Katherine!

    It's AWESOME! And you're Flash 55 too!

And how ironic, because I posted something similar today about the winter/spring.

Have a glorious weekend, my friend!

  12. @Me: Went out this AM without my mitts, but I just don't like being cold, so the winter boots and hat stay. You will need yours at camp this weekend too.

@Stranger: Good luck with willing Spring! It makes me cold too though Stranger.

@Timoteo: Arrrgh! You are just nasty my friend. PPpptttthhhh :P

  13. @Janna: I believe these two guys I saw were students too. My abstinent clinging to common sense in winter is not a sign of old age though (is it?) Thanks for visiting.

@Brian: Aaaahhhhh! You are as bad as Tim!!! Nasty buggers the lot of you! I do not want to see pics of your pasty legs anywhere!!! :)

@G-Man: Another one! Egad. All men. Hmmm, I wonder if that means anything...
(silly men folk shaking my head

  14. @Talon: This mild weather is delicious Talon. I believe you are up the highway from me, so we are both enjoying similar sun. Bring it on, I say (but I am still not shedding my winter coat).

@Steve: Ah ha! Did you relate because you are a short wearer, or an anti-shorts in the winter man? Now I want to know if it is a man vs woman thing.

@Joanny: I can understand it a little better when you are located where you are, but I still have snowbanks that are a few feet high beside the driveway. They are shrinking rapidly, but I mean really!

  15. @Belinda: I hear you sister! Thanks for showing me some support!

@Ron: Ah, Mr. Winter himself comes to offer his two cents worth himself! So, what say you Ron? Shorts or no shorts? Is this a guy thing? I know you like winter, and I am pretty sure you have a touque in your winter box. You also seem to have a line on the weather and are predicting more white stuff yet to come according to your post today. So have you bared those pasty calves of yours to the general public yet?

  18. Better to look cool and risk hypothermia than to be smart. It's to laugh.

  19. LOl! I guess they wanted to pretend that summer was here ( for placebo)

  20. @Monkey Man: Yeah, I suspect that I am just getting old. Ah well, nice while it lasted. The snow returned today. :(

@Mona: I guess Mona. Just makes me cold to see stuff like that though. Fuddy-duddy me. ;)
