I was just visiting a friends blog who posted photos of all the snow they've gotten in their area recently, and I was like "OMG, you're kidding me?" I think everyone is over this winter right now. Even people in Europe are saying the same thing, this year has been a doozy!
@Brian: There was lovely sunshine today, but a mite cold again. The sun helps to put a smile on the face though and give hope.
@Ron: Poor Ron. You love winter, but don't have many that support your cause. Especially this year. I do like to see the beautiful white stuff sparkling in the sun and was the first one out to shovel & play on our snow day. A ray of sunshine helps the cause of good moods though.
@talon: It was indeed Talon. The sunshine really boosts up everyone's moods. You can see it in the increased smiles and pleasantries.
@Joanny: Oh Joanny. What a wonderful way to bring sunshine into your home. I suppose it is almost time to start a few seeds indoors if I am going to do it. I have tried my hand at it, but have a hard time bringing baby plants outside. Just nice to bring life to the house regardless though.
Thank you Patti. And yes, I did take the photo. It was while I was lying in a snow bank recovering from shovelling the driveway one day last week. Back-breaking work, but brilliant sunshine to go with it, so a fair trade-off.
come on spring...love me some sunshine...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful haiku, Katherine!

It sure was lovely while it lasted...a real mood lifter. Lovely, Katherine - both photo and words.
ReplyDeleteLovely and timely, you captured the emotional mood of many people around the world, -- each season brings its own pleasure and pains...
ReplyDeleteAlthough I must say I was looking at seeds and herb catalogs today planning on which plants to replace and try a new.
