Let us dance

Old friends walking
down yesterday's path
   follow the curve
      of memories
         into today's light.

What binds past
moments into present
   days of bliss
      worth sharing anew
          with all of you?

Serenity, comfort,
peace and praise
   All a piece
      worth carving out
         specks of time for.

Distant paths
converge and blend
   similarities both stark,
     nay insignificant
         hold words wrapped with hugs.

Today meters on with
lines drawn further
   along the page
      of history's rhythm
         into tomorrow's remembering.

Stay forever
in my mind perchance
   to give me youth,
      today's presence
         and infinite mortality.

Let us Dance ~

  4. A BIG congrats to you on receiving this muchly deserved award, dear lady!

    Absolutely LOVED the poem!

It immediately reminded me of a very close friend of mine who lives in another State. She's one of those friends, that no matter where we each move or travel to, we are always DANCING in each others hearts.

    Thank you for sharing!

  8. Hello all. Inspiration was a visit with an old friend from high school. As she lives on the other side of the country, we do not see each other very much. While I have known her for years, every time we see each other it is like getting to know a new friend all over again that you just really enjoy.
*Thanks for visiting Trisha. My friend was a special treat
    *Thanks Jingle
*I tried to play with the concrete look of the poem Brian. It was kind of late and I could have tweaked it a bit more, but I like how it turned out too
*Aww, thanks Ron. Isn't it awesome to have friends like that! I love getting to reconnect with old friends for those very special moments and hugs
*You are sweet PinkLady. A little nostalgia is a good thing
