Winter Release

icy heart forgotten
by winter's refusal to
relent to spring
Melt those damn snowflakes already!
I'm craving the warmth within

I'm going to stomp my foot
and hold my breath
until snow melts
and gives way
to just a
little bit
of
SPRING!

but I am going to link in to OSW in the meantime

  2. I like your poems...but I tell you it looks like the sky is going to open up and snow again where I live. But I'm ok with that.

  3. Hey, all that foot stomping around may create just enough heat to melt that stuff all plum 9plumb?) away!!

  4. Don't hold your breath, I fear spring is still a while a way yet. At least, if today's crappy weather is any indication. Nasty. It was like driving through a slushy. Ugh.

  6. Yeah, shitty weather here today too. Started out as snow, but quickly turned into rain. But hey, don't you think blue is a nice colour on me? Corrie, Brian? Yes? And I don't want all this negative crap about no spring. I won't have any of it Corrie. I am going to go with Jannie and just stomp until I fall through the floor. Or something. So according to my fav weather bloggers, it is a good thing that you like snow Laura. Happy Winter all!

  7. @Ron: I know that you think blue is a beautiful colour, right Ron? Of course, you like that winter stuff too, so you are no help to me in trying to sway the Gods that we have had enough.

Oh, and I had an awesome Wednesday Ron. New work projects potentially popping up like wildfire around these parts this week. Now if you will excuse me, I need to attend to a few of them. Chow Bella!

  8. I love it. I've always believed in the power of a good temper tantrum.

  9. Lol... love the photo... empathised with your well-worded rants=ing. You made me laugh out loud at your tantrum. Alas, I LOVE winter and I LOVE snow! It's so beautiful. And I am waiting, less than patiently, with occasional temper tantrums of my own, for it to finally arrive! Hope you're at least enjoying the mild weather, this year : )

  10. @Shelley: This year my tantrum would be more along the lines of when is winter going to begin as well. I really do like winter, but last year it was a long one. Thanks for digging into the archives Shelley :)
