So hold onto your hats and check out the worst storm of the season!
Neighbouring cities forewarned that vehicles would be towed
(if left on the street overnight).
Radios announced the coming of the storm
and local Twitter streams
were burning up
in anticipation
of Armeggedon
Umm, yeah
I think there was more snow on the ground yesterday
before the storm hit.
It's raining at present
and I am okay with that.
Have a toasty weekend folks!
ha...we had these all winter until we finally got some snow...have a great weekend k
ReplyDelete@Brian: You have a nice weekend too Brian. Won't be making any snowmen here it would appear :P
DeleteMedia hype. SNOW OF THE CENTURY.....never happens. What they won't do for ratings.
ReplyDelete@Monkey Man: Don't you know it MM. Glad to see you back out of hibernation. Did you come back with the groundhogs? ;)
DeleteHi Kat....
ReplyDeleteWe got much less than expected as well.
Thanks for stopping by
Come back soon ok?
Have a Kick Ass Week End
G
@G-Man: With March rolling in at the end of the week, I think that this winter is a bit of a bust. Good riddance I guess. Hope your weekend rocked G!
DeleteOh WOW....and I was so hoping to see a HUGE snowfall from the way you had described the radio warnings.
ReplyDeleteBut I gotta tell ya, Katherine, it's been the same way here. We get threats of snow storms and ZIP....NADA!
Anyway, my friend....enjoy a wonderful weekend!
X
@Ron: Yup, I have had more white stuff on the back of the couch from the presence of sleeping kitties. Certainly wasn't an opportunity for making snow angels, let alone a new man or two! Oh well, better luck next winter, right Ron! ;)
DeleteHah...yeah, we got more snow the day AFTER the "storm of the year"...lol!
ReplyDelete@Me: Obviously went into the wrong profession, if weather forecaster can make money with accuracy rates like that!
DeleteToo funny! They cancelled school buses, cancelled my son's drive test, people were taking snow days... and we got about as much as you did!
ReplyDelete@Shelley: Seriously! There is something to be said for being prepared, but sometimes I wonder! Thanks for stopping in Shelley! :)
DeleteYeah, there was all this talk of a snowstorm here too...6-7 inches which really isn't much compared to what we used to get. But all we got was a paltry two and it'll be melted by tomorrow with fifty degress in the forecast.
ReplyDelete@Yvonne: I don't think you are that far from me Yvonne, so I suspect we have both been wondering when winter is going to start. The cities have saved tonnes on snow plowing costs, but you know, I don't mind to look out at a pristine, fresh, white blanket of snow that carpets the world. Spring time just might have arrived though!
