@Claudia: We did Claudia. The girls had never been before, so had fun. Thought since I was writing about the circus, I should make the whole post more colourful & fun.
@Dustus: Hey Adam. I tried to create a brief scattered snapshot of some of the fun we got to witness. We were all clapping with the fun!
@C Rose: Thanks Rose. Hard to package all of the excitement and joy from the circus into a tanka, but I appreciate the positive feedback I am getting from it. :)
@Stranger: Those two little cuties both belong to me Jen. She saw me pull out the camera and posed, but she mostly watched it all stoney-faced. She had fun, but was pretty intent on taking it all in. Loving all that cotton candy, clown covered coo-coo crazy circus fun!
@LivingInAurora.ca: It really was Anna. At first we were a little put off by the protesters outside, but the Shriners had a great write-up in their program that countered most of the concerns that the protesters were raising with their placards outside the door. So smiles reigned supreme for all. :)
@PattiKen: Thanks Patti. I keep openning up your story that you have going on at your site, and getting dragged away from it. I am going to try my hardest to read it this weekend. Hope you have a great weekend Patti!
@Ron: You kill me Ron! We did actually go down to ringside during intermission. They were offering elephant rides, but we just went to get a closer look at the elephants. And YES, they are rather ripe smelling! hahahah
glad you linked your little tanks katherine... i was right there... love the use of color and sounds like you had a great time

ReplyDeleteI only been at the circus once in my life time, lol, and that was about 35 years ago.

I love the colors and and images they paint, especially the delight on your daughter's face. Charming, my friend.

Your daughter is ADORABLE!
Every time I think back to when I was a kid and my parents took me to the circus, I always remember the smell of the elephants poo!
