Quietly crept in
end of week’s hours
without scheduling,
few tasks to do
or indeed done.
A pace set by
whims of fancy,
flights of fun,
as I watch the
silent setting sun.
Monkey Man hosts a Sunday 160
where he encourages you to try your hand
at writing something in exactly 160 characters.
Care to give it a try?
kinda like the sigh as the final curtain closes...hope you had a great weekend...
ReplyDelete@Brian: It was beautiful and empty, just as it was meant to be. Managed to get the grass cut, milk bought ($70+ dollars?! Frig, so a few other things), and a phone activated. The better parts were the sleeping in, reading, quiet coffee and smiles.
ReplyDeleteAnd you?
This a a nice rhythm and a very relaxing feel. Thanks for playing along with the Sunday 160.
ReplyDelete@Monkey Man: I hadn't played in a while, so wanted to throw something in. Thanks for hosting & taking the time to visit MM! I appreciate all that you do. :)
ReplyDeleteFeels like the best way to let the week go.
ReplyDeleteI need more weekends like that, but mine seem to be so full of responsibilities. I'm printing this and trying to live it more often - thanks for sharing!

Katherine, I love how said that!
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend!
Great photo!

@Stranger: It was a pretty sweet weekend. Quiet ruled and we all recharged, ready to face the coming week.
ReplyDelete@Pheromone Girl: That is probably the nicest thing that anyone has shared with me in a while. Thank you PG. And not all my weekends can be so indulgent, but we all need them once in a while at my house. We eat whenever we want, play at whatever, get outside for at least a little bit of fresh air, but generally just do what we want. It is blissful.
@Ron: Thanks Ron. The photo was actually taken a while ago, but I wanted something to go with the words. And yes, our weekend was lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteWell-described scene/week end.
ReplyDelete@Steve Isaak: Thank you Steve.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and verse. I hope your season has turned flowerful and warm.
ReplyDelete@Mairmusic: The flowers are indeed blooming up a storm here Marilynn. Thanks for your kind words.
