The Moon

   "The moon"
you say,
   was magnificent...

but I was too scared
to look it in the eye
for falling into your heart
and never turning back

I am vulnerable
to her advances
my delicate moonshadow
- have been before

Ethereal ebb and flow that
connects distant ends
of this small world
and maybe even you and I

You talk of words
caring, sharing and more
with a tear
- mine or yours?
Certainly my fears

now the rain delicately drips
washes away this first sweet moment
that could have been
should have been
and was

  3. This is lovely, and sad. I had several interpretations run through my mind, but I won't presume. I'll just hope that the rain washes the slate clean and that the moon will become your friend. Hugs, Kat.

P.S. My latest story features the moon too. My heroine is a fan.

  4. @PattiKen: I think that the rain is doing just what it needs to do Patti. And I remind myself to trust in time's ways.

    (Coming to check it out!)

    I adore the moon.

There is something so mysterious, romantic, and alluring about the moon.

  7. I haven't been here before, but I'm liking it. A lot!

The moon reminds me of my almost-three-year-old who insists the moons chases us in the mornings.

  9. @Ron: The Moon - it connects us all, doesn't it Ron. And I always seem to be drawn to it, for good or bad.

Don't 3yr olds have the best perspective? Sometimes they see the coolest things, so make sure you listen when they have stories to tell!
