Well G-Man,
you can tell what I have on the brain already
Thanksgiving this weekend!
and I have a hankering on for some
TURKEY!
I shall be bringing
STUFFING
(Yum)
PICKLES
(that's why I make them don't you know!)
and PIE
(with apples that we gathered on our recent trip to the orchard)
God, I'm hungry now.
Maybe I will grab an apple while I wait.
Oh, my mixed bag of poetry
(think I have a little free verse/shaped, cinquain & diamante in there)
sums up to 55 words as well
in case you were wondering.
BOOK!!!!
What are you up to this weekend?
woo hoo hope you and the littles have a great thanksgiving...eat some meat for me...gotta wait a couple months for mine...pout.
ReplyDeleteNow you've made me hungry, too! I think I need a midnight snack...well, 3.40 am snack. Who's counting? ♥
ReplyDelete@Brian: I am drooling in anticipation! It is supposed to be nice this weekend, so I am hoping for some outside time too. I will see if I can cram another mouthful of turkey & dressing in for you sir! have a great weekend!
ReplyDelete@Jinksy: What! What are you doing up Penny! Lord, I would be a wreck in the morning being up that time of night. Thanks for stopping in.
ReplyDeletePs. I am going to try to ride the tandem maybe next week. Got no inspiration thus far with this week's images. Darn. :(
You had me worried. I thought I had an Alzheimer's moment... but it IS October 6 and Thanksgiving is over a month away for us. Is this when Africa celebrates it? And what exactly are they celebrating... not the pilgrims... Either way, sounds like an awesome meal.
ReplyDeleteYou threw me. I forgot for a moment where you lived. Happy T-day my Canadian friend.
ReplyDelete@Margaret: Haha! Goodness, I don't mean to confuse people. I am in Canada actually. My story from Africa was an adventure that just lives on in my mind and on the laptop these days. Canadian Thanksgiving is on Monday (really, a better time too, as it is still nice enough outside usually to enjoy the weather, plus fresh produce is still available from the fields).
ReplyDeleteI shall be with family dining on pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes and a big fat turkey! Yum. Not going to eat til then. :)
@Monkey Man: Hmm, speaking of Alzheimer's moments...
ReplyDeleteThank you Monkey. Shall I have a piece o' turkey lurkey for you too to tide you over til your turkey is done?
Hi Kat...
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to The Friday Funfest!
Loved your Turkey Day 55
Maybe I'll celebrate along with My Canadian Friends...:P

ReplyDeleteAw, you are sweet for saying that G! I have missed you too, but have been bogged down lately with work. Thanks for hosting the most kick ass party around! xo
@Daydreamertoo: Thank you. I am looking forward to it! Yummy turkey drool...
ReplyDelete@Monkey Man: On it sir! A man after my own heart. Picks next week will see me with a muffin top extraordinaire!
@Eric 'Bubba' Alder: Why thank you Eric. :)
The girls are SO CUTE!!!!
