I see family,
traditions,
symbols and more.
I feel love in
the spaces
that she
carefully stores.
Here is a tree
and there is the
hearth.
Stockings lie
waiting
and cookies tempt
anyone's girth.
Ah, but see all
the smiles!
I feel them
inside.
My heart swells
with the season
and a motherly
pride.
This Christmas I
am gifted
with a present so
pure -
my daughter's
sweet innocence
and our love that
endures.
