Children at play

(away for the day!)

Mama at home

Shaking words out under chrome-

plated lamp, that trembles

with diggers rumbles

but sweet success 

is measured in redress

by being a week ahead of schedule

may holidays now ensue!

Escape this foul domain of grit

and find me floating downriver sunlit

love when my scribe works with me!

Work is done for the week

and half done for next.

Should be plenty of time 

for some fun & frolic

Long Weekend Getaway

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!

I have been away since mid-week last week, so did not get a chance to get any writing in. Alas, no trip to Africa today! I can still whisk you away though, just not quite as far - Orillia. I took advantage of holidays everywhere and hid up north with the mosquitoes, deer flies, family and even an old friend or two thrown in for good measure. Today, I will just offer you a snapshot of the fun we had and get back to writing tomorrow.

So what did we get up to?

Sitting fireside, drinking beer, watching fireworks, playing, laughing, gambling, joining into sing-songs around the campfire, s'mores, barbeques and so much more...

Happy Good Friday!

In Canada it is a Stat holiday, so I shall not be going to work today.  Yippee!

Wait!

I work from home.

I still have two articles that have to get written before heading out of town.

DRAT!

Oh well. Back at ‘er, I guess.
