PROFESSIONAL PAGES

When I initially discovered the world of blogging, I entered it for personal reasons. I had been writing thoughts into journals for years, but was at a point where I wanted to go further with it. Fate introduced me to someone who suggested I start a blog, as another avenue for the written word. I was intrigued and went to explore this new space. I dabbled at a few posts, but didn't quite get it. After petering off for a bit, it called me back again though, and this time I found myself hooked.

This blog is a place for me to write poetry, short stories and whatever prose spills out of my head. The longer I keep at it, the better my writing becomes. And slowly but surely, my intention to become a writer has morphed into a reality. While anyone that puts pen to page, or fingertips to keyboard can fashion themselves a writer, I have gone further than that. Through the encouragement from other bloggers, friends and family, I have expanded my sessions at the computer to include paid work. I am becoming.

Once I began to call myself a writer, I truly became one. I carved out a niche in my living room to dedicate to an office and now happily spend my days typing away there. I have been pleasantly surprised to find others interested in my writing and expertise in social media as well. The Universe sent subtle pushes my way, and now I lay claim to being a contributing writer for several blogs. Below, you will find links to some of them. It is all very exciting! To me anyway...

As is the nature of the world, the process has morphed over the years. Not only do I write blog posts for clients, but I also handle several companies' social media accounts; updating Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, and the like. Necessity is the mother of invention, so if people have an interest in my skills, I hone them for them. That being said, I try my best to be true to my first love—personal writing for me. It's a balancing act. Thank you all for being a part of my journey. Write on my friends!
